Le Suite Gesu: Crowning with Thorns: 10th Proof

I'm close to an artist proof with this one. I guess I'll wait a day or so to decide. The paper is soaked and ready for an edition.

My thing now is I kind of like this. I know I'm sending Scourging at the Pillar to a particular show, but I was leaning towards Miraculous Medal, another print I like a lot. I don't have to make a decision for a few weeks.

It's interesting that in the 19th century, photographers did their best to imitate the effects of painting and the traditional arts, and now it's the other way around. I didn't try to do that, but it does look like an old photograph from that era...sort of. It certainly doesn't smack of painting of the 19th century. At least I don't think so.A friend said the previous proof looked like he got the stuffing beat out of him. That's the whole point.

Now, what I need from anyone who actually likes this is to go to CatholicStarter.com and donate to my CS campaign, so I can raise part of the capital I need to get a bigger etching press. I want to do crowd scenes like Sermon on the Mount, but 9x12 in. is tough to fit that into. Help me out guys. There are some cool rewards.
